Will I get federal student loan for medical school?

I took a private loan during undergraduate course and its repayment is still going on. After some time from Now I will enter medical school here, am I eligible to apply for loan from federal government. Thanks if you can tell anything in this context or know of any other such option I can have.

Basically all that depends on the school you are planning to take admission in since federal student loans is applicable for only certified ones. Application for federal financial aid from your school is a much better option, aiding you in quick approval. This way you are also liable of getting other benefits. Meanwhile, it has nothing to do with private loan, until you have defaulted on the loan or so, in rest cases its alright.

Besides, that medical student loan is always a smarter choice since it would save you both money and effort, being available at favorable terms and comparatively lowered rates of interest, to be returned only after 6 months of successful study completion.
