What kind of punishments allotted for not repaying payday loan on time?

I have borrowed a loan of $1000 from three different companies to clear out my debts. Now its time to repay the money back along with the amount of interest. Due to some financial crisis I am not in a state to refund the money back.

Could you please tell me that what kind of actions they might take against me for this act? What could be the extreme level of punishment that I have to bear?

The lenders can charge levy due to not repaying the money on time

The collection agency can harass the borrower by making several phone calls and requesting for money repayment

If the lender reports for non repayment of payday loans to the credit bureaus can cause severe damage to the credit record of the borrower.

At the extreme level the lender can sue the borrower to the court of law against writing bad cheque and non repayment of loan. And if the borrower is found guilty he might have to pay large penalty to the lender.
